New patients are always welcome at The Royston Dental Practice. Patients can telephone the office, stop by or request an appointment through our website. Our receptionist will contact you and arrange a mutually convenient appointment.
New Patient Appointments
When a new patient appointment is arranged, we send you an information pack that includes a welcome letter, practice brochure, a leaflet about our Denplan Essentials monthly budgeting plan, a fee scale and a medical history form for you to fill out and bring with you to your first visit.
A new patient appointment is our first opportunity to get to know each other. We are interested in discussing all aspects of your dental health with you, including past experiences and current concerns. The examination will include a medical history review; charting of existing baseline conditions in the mouth; a review of the teeth to check for any problems; an assessment of the tongue, cheeks and other soft tissue; periodontal evaluation (to appraise the health of the gums and bone beneath them) and a review of any radiographs that are taken.
Late Cancellations and Missed Appointments
We kindly request that if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment you give us at least 24 hours notice. Late cancellations and missed appointments do not allow us time to offer the appointment to other patients who require an earlier appointment. Unplanned gaps in our schedule also contribute to the increasing cost of dental care. There may be a fee charged In the event of a late cancellation or missed appointment.
