At The Royston Dental Practice we strive to provide dental care of a consistently high standard for all patients. Staff members take time with our patients to explain treatment options and discuss personal preferences, providing patients with a written treatment plan that outlines our discussions so they can make a well-informed decision. We encourage patients to look after their oral health while understanding that our patients make treatment choices based on varying priorities of cost, cosmetics and comfort.
During your visit, we will ask you about your medical history and make certain that you update us about any medicines you are taking. This information helps us to treat you safely. We routinely screen our patients for oral cancers. We will also ask patients about tobacco and alcohol use, which contributes to the risk of oral cancer.
Patient safety is a primary concern. Staff are trained and updated on all aspects of infection control, as well as keeping up to date with current thinking on all facets of general dentistry and guidance from the General Dental Council. Our clinical staff is dedicated to maintaining standards and continuing professional development, meeting and exceeding the General Dental Council’s requirement for continuing education. Our goal is to give patients confidence in our knowledge and skills.
We welcome patients’ views on the service we provide. Our policy is to promptly address patient complaints, to learn from mistakes and always improve the quality of care we offer.
